Yonatan Ayal, also known for his critically acclaimed band Chiiild, is a Grammy award winning multi-instrumentalist and producer born and raised in Montreal. His relationship with music started very early, as his parents emigrated from Ethiopia to Canada during the height of war and his father aimed to instill music into him from the time he could walk and talk. After becoming a classically trained pianist, Ayal sharpened his tools as a producer while traveling to and from Los Angeles - working with artists like Usher, Lucky Daye, Jack Ü, Chloe x Halle, and many more. His debut album, Hope For Sale, from Chiiild in 2021 earned a Hi-Fidelity Award at the Prism Prize and a Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year.

Now releasing ambient records under his real name, Yonatan Ayal intends to deliver peace of mind to his listeners by giving them a glimpse into his daily routines. All of the tracks from Ayal’s debut ambient project, titled INNER-MISSION, were created during serene early mornings with a cup of coffee in hand at his cozy home studio. Throughout each track, one can hear Ayal’s signature textural sounds that come from Ayal’s masterful familiarity with synths. Combining his classically trained roots with his unique sound design as a producer, he looks to continue to push the boundaries of ambient music.
