Lauren Malyonpiano

Lauren Malyon is an LA-based musician, originally from Port Perry, Canada; a small rural town of less than ten thousand people. She began learning violin at the age of 3, and piano at the age of 6, and performed at countless local competitions and town hall community concerts. At age 10 she auditioned for the Young Artist Performance Academy at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, where she studied for the next seven years with some of the most esteemed teachers in the country.

Lauren is a live band member of the R&B alternative artist “Chiiild”, and contributing songwriter and background vocalist to Chiiild's albums “Synthetic Soul” (2019), "Hope for Sale" (2021) and “Better Luck in the Next Life” (2023). They received a nomination for Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards in Toronto (2022), and performed live on Jimmy Kimmel and VEVO DSCVR Artist to watch in 2022 Series.

Lauren has always had a strong passion for sharing her love of music, and is the founder and musical director of Lyon Music (2019-present), a music school that provides in-home lessons to students living in Los Angeles, and virtual lessons to students worldwide.

Lauren enjoys doing string session work, playing on film trailers and music for film/TV . She has recently found solace returning to her roots; composing and recording piano mediation pieces, and looks forward to sharing them with the world very soon.
