Azad Naficy, Brittany Crawford and Brando founded a successful independent record label called Avant Garden in 2018, with acts like Emotional Oranges, Chiiild, Unusual Demont and more. In 2020 when the pandemic hit, much of their business came to a halt- multiple world tours were cancelled, Coachella performances, merch pop ups, recording sessions, etc. The music industry was in a state of flux, and anxiety was high. To cope with their own uncertainty, the team and artists were listening to wellness music from a variety of genres. They were disappointed to find that the quality of wellness music was lacking, both musically and from a branding perspective. They pride themselves on developing artists and their brands, so they felt developing wellness artists would not only benefit the space, but would also be a small way to give back during such a difficult time.

Since its inception in 2020, POMS has developed and launched a handful of incredible acts that have streamed well over a 2 BILLION collectively. In addition to releasing new artists and music, they intend to focus on growing Peace of Mind Studio as a brand over the next year and beyond. Their overall goal is to become a leading advocate for the power of music to promote health and well-being.
